Jaffa / Tel Aviv, Israel / PARKLIFTS, PARKIING PLATFORM, TURNTABLES
Renovation and Extension of an Armenian Church with 20 car-parking places on Parklift 313, 402 and 440, incl. Parking Platform 504 and 2 Turntables 505.
Twenty-two deluxe apartments were erected in the building complex of the 800-year old Armenian church in historic Jaffa. Twenty parking places were custom-built in very tight quarters in the old vault and are accessed in stacked configuration using a turntable and transport platform. The available vertical space in the vault niches was used to create two parking levels. Pits provide for independent parking at both levels. Turntables in the floor enable the parking places to be reached from the narrow lane. The animation also shows how a car is parked using a platform that slides sideways.
